MSP Technical Alignment Completion: Definition & Formula
Technical alignment completion measures whether planned client alignment reviews were completed on time. A review is complete only under the documented completion rule, including findings and required handoffs. Illustrative example: 18 of 20 reviews due and completed on time give 90%. That does not mean 90% of technology standards are met; compliance is a separate measure.

Target interpretation
Context matters
Set the target against your service scope and company plan.
Formula
On-time alignment completion % = scheduled reviews completed by their due date ÷ reviews due in the period × 100
Why it matters
A consistent review cadence keeps client risks and roadmap needs visible.
Completion without usable findings creates activity without a decision.
Common mistakes
Marking a visit complete without recording findings.
Removing overdue reviews from the denominator.
Treating review completion as standards compliance.
What moves the number
Define evidence of completion and assign a review owner.
Track overdue reviews separately after their due period.
