The Power of Four Simple Habits to Set Your MSP Apart
This may seem simple, but it can truly set your MSP apart.
Spotting Great Vendors
We all have vendors. Our vendors have vendors. We know the good ones from the bad ones, and occasionally, just occasionally, we come across a great one.
Beyond Technical Skills
For an MSP, you would think it would be their technical skillset, tenure of their team, their service delivery model/structure, and other important aspects of their business they need to have dialed in. These are obviously all important, but having every team member follow these four referability habits without exception will serve to quickly separate you from your competition, opening the door to referrals as your consistency is remarkable (worth remarking about).
A Mentor's Impact
One of my mentors introduced me to this simple yet powerful concept years ago, and it made a significant impact on the MSP that I eventually sold. We rolled it out to the team and printed it out to place on our office exits and in the break room to reinforce the concepts day in and day out.
The Four Referability Habits
Show up on time
Do what you say
Finish what you start
Say please and thank you
A Simple Path to Differentiation
There is a ton that could and should be done in the MSP world to differentiate yourself, but this is something that, when done consistently, can be an easy win to deliver services worth talking about.
Wishing You Success
I hope this helps you on your journey to MSP success.
